Assumed role of classroom teacher during a 13-week maternity leave replacement. Taught English-Language Arts to diverse groups of 5th grade students. Instructed general education students, gifted students, as well as individuals with learning disabilities and within an inclusion classroom. Developed and implemented exciting lessons involving  The Daily 5, Words Their Way, and Guided Reading, and Harcourt Storytown, which accommodated multiple intelligences and learning styles.
